Art Supply is 7,500 square feet of fun, inspiration, and unlimited creative possibilities for artists, students, parents, and anyone who simply has the urge to create. From materials for the serious artists to pens and papers for Manga, Art Supply is the candy store for creative people of all skill levels.
It is family owned and operated, and the proprietors can be found in the store ready to assist all customers. It is located in the Midtown area of Houston, Texas and is the anchor of The Art Square Studios complex.
Art Supply celebrated its 54th year of business in October 2012. Known for their unusual products, nifty tools and great gift items, Art Supply searches the world to find its inventory and is proud to make it available to the Houston community.
Art Supply is staffed by working artists. So one of Art Supply’s strengths lies in the ability of its staff to work with artists to achieve their individual goals, not only with product recommendations, but also with technical knowledge and problem solving skills.
Art Supply firmly believes that an art community grows through a “full circle” approach. To that end, Art Supply has always been a strong supporter of local arts organization, art schools, galleries, artists and local arts organizations. Since its inception Art Supply has always offered a student discount. We’ve eagerly made classes and workshops available, too. Art Supply staff has taught digital mixed media workshops, encaustic workshops, book-making workshops and many others.
Art Supply has a full service custom frame shop for all of your framing needs. Art Supply makes custom stretched canvases and custom cradled birch panels.
Art Supply Hours are 9:00 am – 6:00 pm, M-F and
9:00 am – 5:00 pm on Saturday.
We believe everyone needs one day to recharge and be with family and friends.
To achieve this, we close on Sundays.
